Higly abstract artwork made out of a collage of highly processed photos. It is colorful, grainy and sort of looks like it is a mixture of photos of some stats from the aranet CO2 meter and a mesh on a FFP2 mask. It has the album title overlayed in colorful funky letters. The whole cover gives off a small amount of self aware "graphic design is my passion" vibes.

lofi microtonal beats to avoid brain damage to

A collection of more or less lo-fi, glitchy, microtonal tracks made while I was lying down in my bed, barely able to get up from illness.

lofi microtonal beats to avoid brain damage to (2025)

"Mixed" on even shittier headphones than usual, but the arrangements are minimal, on purpose, so it should be fine. It is intended to be lo-fi and noisy, and at times, uncomfortable.

The title is slightly ironic- it references specific trends of "consuming music". "Lo-fi beats to relax to, a spotify playlist to eat dinner to, 440hz music to heal all your maladies, music to listen to in your car..." this album is none of those things. However, it is always advisable to avoid brain damage. Even if you are already affected. It is never too late to start protecting yourself and others. At the time of writing this, we are entering the 6th year of the COVID-19 pandemic. And yet the knowledge about how to protect oneself from a viral infection that can cause systemic damage to one's organism, including one's nervous system, is dissapearing from public view. The thoughts of the ongoing pandemic are suppressed, and anyone who brings them closer to the surface is discriminated against. There is not much I can do about this, other than make horrible music about it, as a protest.

We are all vulnerable. A lot of mammals are vulnerable. I am vulnerable. You are vulnerable.

I don't want to fall by the wayside. What kind of world do you want?
